Isabella completed a Diploma in Conservation and Land Management in 2004 at Cooloola Sunshine Institute of TAFE in Queensland, a Bachelor of Natural Environment & Wilderness Studies (Plant Science) at the University of Tasmania in 2006, a Masters in Tropical Environmental Management (Invasive Species) at Charles Darwin University in the NT in 2008, and a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment at Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne in 2022.
Isabella joined Abzeco in 2024 as the Consulting Team Coordinator. She comes with over 15 years of experience working in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors in a variety of roles, including biodiversity planner, environmental educator, conservation officer & botanist.
Isabella is a skilled project manager and highly proficient at interpreting federal and state planning legislation. She has a keen interest in invasive species management and has implemented several landscape-scale control programs. Isabella is an accredited VQA assessor and has experience undertaking flora assessments including habitat hectare assessments, native vegetation removal assessments, weed assessments and mapping using ArcGIS, targeted flora surveys and biodiversity assessments.
In her spare time, Isabella manages a small farming business with her partner on their property in Strathewen. In 2023, 14 hectares of the farm was set aside for conservation and registered as a biodiversity offset site.
